Pages & Ink is now a Letter-Keeper — which means we're a real-life post office for pen pals, strangers, and anyone who misses getting mail that isn't a bill. Come write a letter, find a pen pal, or just start your own Sunday letter-writing ritual

What is The Sunday Letter Project?

The Sunday Letter Project started as a simple pledge: write one letter every Sunday. To yourself, to a friend, to someone you miss, to a stranger — it doesn't matter who. As the idea grew, independent shops like ours signed on as "Letter-Keepers": safe, in-person spots where you can send and receive letters from pen pals around the world without sharing your home address.

How it works

1. Write an intro letter.

Address the envelope to "Dear Penpal" and send it to another Letter-Keeper shop — you can find the full list on The Sunday Letter Project's map.

2. Use our address as your return address.

Instead of your home address, put:

3. Wait for a reply — or start closer to home.

Once a letter finds you a pen pal, replies will arrive at our shop and we'll hold them for you. Or, browse our Local Pen-Pals basket in-store and start writing to a fellow Conway reader right away — no stamps required.

Prefer to keep it close to home? Drop a letter in our basket signed with just a first name (bonus points for mentioning your current read 👀), and take one home to reply to. It's the easiest way to make a new pen pal without ever licking a stamp.

A few gentle rules

This is for grown-ups — 18 and up.

No phone numbers, social handles, or personal contact info in your letters (email is fine if you want to stay in touch).

Write with kindness. That's really the only requirement.

FAQ

Do I have to write every Sunday?

Nope — the "Sunday" part is just the spirit of it. Write when it feels right.

What if I don't hear back?

Give it a little time — letters travel slower than texts. If a month goes by, feel free to send one gentle follow-up, or just start a new letter to someone else.

Can I write anonymously?

Yes — first name, initials, or a pseudonym all work.

Is there a cost?

Nope, it's free to take part. We just love having an excuse to see you more often.
