Your sewing machine deserves a home as cute as the projects it makes. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the basics of working with your own machine while sewing a custom cover to protect it in style. No experience required, just bring your machine and show up ready to create.
In three hours, you'll walk away with a finished sewing machine cover, a handful of foundational skills you'll use on every project after this, and the confidence to actually sit down and sew that thing you've been pinning for two years.
What you'll learn:
- Threading your machine and understanding tension
- Cutting and pinning fabric accurately
- Sewing straight seams and clean corners
- Finishing edges so your project looks intentional, not "homemade"
What's included: All materials, a pattern to take home, and good company at Conway's favorite bookish hangout.
What to bring: Your sewing machine (and its power cord!). If you have a machine but aren't sure it works, bring it anyway. We'll figure it out together.
Skill level: Total beginner welcome. If you've never touched a sewing machine in your life, this is exactly where to start.
Seats are limited to keep things personal. Grab yours before they're gone.
